Sinopsis:
10 tahun telah berlalu sejak konfrontasi antara Kira dan L. Sekali lagi, Shinigami mengirimkan catatan kematian ke dunia dan menyebabkan kekacauan. Tsukuru adalah anggota dari tim peneliti Death Note dengan 6 orang lainnya termasuk Matsuda yang mengalami kasus Kira 10 tahun yang lalu. Dunia detektif swasta terkenal Ryuzaki, yang merupakan penerus sah dari L, juga menyelidiki pembunuhan massal. Mereka menemukan bahwa 6 Death Note ada di dunia. Sebuah virus komputer yang disebut Kira menyebar di dunia. Konfrontasi antara orang yang ingin kebangkitan Kira dan orang-orang yang ingin menghentikannya dimulai.
